Kalthia Group Hotels (KGH) is a division of the Kalthia Group of companies based in India. From humble beginnings in 1960, Kalthia Group now operates one of the largest construction and engineering companies in India and has a significant presence in the renewable energy sector. Since entering the hospitality industry in the U.S. in 1991, KGH has successfully completed ground up development of 17 hotels, 8 of which involved funding from EB-5 investors. All KGH’s EB-5 investors have been successful in obtaining their U.S. green cards.

Investors must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Invest lawfully sourced funds
  • Meet U.S. immigration eligibility requirements
  • Either be in the U.S. with valid status or apply from abroad

Concurrent filing allows eligible investors who are already in the U.S. to file their EB-5 petition (I-526E) and Adjustment of Status (I-485) at the same time.
This may allow investors to receive:

  • Work authorization (EAD)
  • Travel permission (Advance Parole) while their EB-5 petition is pending

Processing times vary, but generally:

  • Work and travel authorization: 3–8 months (with concurrent filing)
  • EB-5 petition approval: 18–36+ months
  • Permanent Green Card: After removal of conditions (I-829)

After two years, investors must file Form I-829 to remove conditions by showing:

  • The investment was sustained
  • Required jobs were created Approval leads to a permanent Green Card.
